I joined George Home at its press day in London last week which showcased all the lovely new launches coming up this autumn and winter.
Turns out there are five new trends – Savoy, Soulful Shelter, The Manor, Modern Organic and Cottage.
Here’s an overview of what each one offers, as well as my favourite pieces from each collection.
Savoy

This sophisticated trend gives a firm nod to the luxurious 1930s era and features glossy metals and dark wood – everything that screams glamour basically.
It features art deco influences and beautiful sihouettes while still offering a feminine touch.
Objects made from marble, etched glass and foil prints also offer some great statement pieces.
My favourite item was the cube side table for £65, but in the picture above you can also see some gorgeous bronze effect pendant lamps which I had my eye on for £20.
Soulful Shelter
The Soulful Shelter George Home collection offers a more chilled out, urban vibe, with touches of global influences. It’s an eclectic look with handmade finishes and imperfections to add to the overall appeal.
Colours include earthy greens, browns and aubergine.
My favourite piece was this copper leaf place (£12) and I also spotted ethnic looking carved wooden drawers for £12.

The Manor
As the name suggest, think of a manor house and you can imagine the type of influences this trend has had – plenty of grandeur and a lived-in home style.
It features rich floral blooms, regal damasks (which I personally love) and bird prints. And who doesn’t love a bird print?!
Warm colours contrast with popular teal and duck egg to bring it back on trend. I love the quirky animal characters too!
My favourite item from this range was this Dressed rabbit ornament for £12. How cute?

Modern Organic

When I first clocked eyes on this trend the first word that came to mind was ‘playful’. Featuring funky patterns – and funky colours to match – the collection is inspired by Scandinavian simplicity – evident by its clean lines.
Materials include marble, ceramics and copper, and the graphic prints really stand out.
I really liked this copper effect jar lamp for £30.

Cottage

This is a look from George Home that I typically favour in my home, with nice, soft pastel colours. The look is feminine and romantic and features classic vintage prints.
Literary references play their part – including those from Alice Through The Looking Glass and the Secret Garden. I for one love it, and I know it would be a big hit with my daughter too.
My favourite item from this collection was the duvet itself – prices for double duvets are from £12.

As I was walking round the press show I kept asking myself which one was my favourite trend, but I honestly couldn’t make my mind up – I liked different items from each of the collections. It’s probably why my own home is quite eclectic!
Do you have a favourite look?

I too like bits from each collection here. It’s also really exciting that you can keep up with the trends without breaking the bank! I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for these collections launching. I’m particularly coveting the jar lamp and the rabbit – very quirky!
They are probably my fave two pieces too! We obvs have very similar tastes. 🙂
I love George Home, and they’re so affordable compared to some other high-street shops. I like your little video you made!
Ah…thank you! (blushing)
Oh wow, i love all these looks. Who knew George did such great designs
It’s funny – I’ve had a few people saying that …you’d be surprised!
I have to say it all looks really fab! I love George because it’s so affordable, yet the quality is really good. That bronze side table is super nice, I’m on the hunt for one at the moment.
That table is gorgeous isn’t it? It’s great to see George keeping on top of the latest trends.
Such fabulous stuff! I really like the modern organic – there’s something very soothing about the colour palette and I love the duvet set.
Most of the items in each of the collections are really appealing aren’t they? I’m looking forward ti seeing them in store!
Interesting range (autumn/winter already?!), lots of fun trends to look forward to this year 🙂

Thanks Laura – definitely agree with you there.
I have really started to get into interiors since we moved a few months ago, I had no idea George created such lovely pieces. I too love that duvet and will have to see if I can get a one for my teens bedroom as she would love it too xx
They do some really affordable pieces so it’s great to be able to mix things up and change things around once in a while.
Ohhh Im the same as you, I love bits from all the collections. In particular, the cute rabbit, the copper lamp and the metal, wire effect side table. It looks like George have upped their game in the home department, may well have to pop in!
Thanks Kerry – they are certainly keeping up with the trends!
