Cups and saucers: great for drinking from but also fab for turning into other useful items like candles and bird feeders!
Here’s a little weekend project to help our feathered friends throughout the winter, and the great news is, it doesn’t cost the earth, with materials being sourced from places like charity shops and boot fairs.
Step 1: Turn the saucer on its side so that the handle is facing upwards. Dab some strong superglue like gorilla glue to the teacup and place in the centre of the saucer (for even weight distribution). Then tape the cup to the saucer so that it doesn’t move and leave to dry overnight.
Step 2: Remove the tape and check that the saucer has taken to the cup and is secure. Get some twine and tie it through the handle of the cup and on to a branch that can be easily reached. Finish off with some bird seed. Stand back and admire.

We love feeding the birds although the pesky squirrels have ruined all our bird feeders
Oh, this is lovely. Such a great idea. I think I’ll have to make one for my parent’s garden. They love bird watching.
