Take the most amount of holiday in 2017 for the least amount of days off by maximising time off around bank holidays!
Living in England is sweet. Ok, so we don’t have the weather but we have Bank Holidays!
And if you are smart about it, you don’t have to find any more excuses for skiving off work! You can use the Bank Holidays to take the least amount of time off work! All in all, the 2017 Bank Holidays mean that you can enjoy 18 days off for nine days off! And if that’s not making the most of time off, I don’t know what is!
Maximise bank holidays …
A 16-day holiday for eight days off work!
Bank Holidays: 14th April, 17th April
Book off: 10th-13th April and 18th-21st April
Total time off: 8th April-23rd April
A nine-day holiday for four days off work!
Bank Holiday: 1st May
Book off: 2nd-5th May
Total time off: 29th April – 7th May
Another nine-day holiday for four days off work!
Bank Holiday: 29th May
Book off: 30th May-2nd June
Total time off: 27th May – 4th June
And another nine-day holiday for four days off work!
Bank Holiday: 28th August
Book off: 29th August – 1st September
Total time off: 26th August – 3rd September
A 10-day holiday for three days off work!
Bank Holidays: 25th December, 26th December, 1st January, 2018
Book off: 27th – 29th December
Total time off: 23rd December – 1st January
All that’s left to say is get in there quick before your colleagues beat you to it! Oh, and enjoy your Bank Holiday time off of course!

Love this post – and the new look website! Alas as we’re both freelancers this won’t work for us. Plus I imagine if I get a permanent job, the deadlines won’t allow for such long steps away from the desk, but a great idea for those who can take advantage of it. x

Good point! Alas for those of us who are self-employed and don’t get paid for Bank Holidays – I really envy those who do.

All those bank holidays! Who would have thought it. Unfortunately for me, a bank holiday ends up being just another day with inconvenient opening times for banks and shops. But I wouldn’t change them for anything.
